Martin Huberman
Argentine
Having graduated in 2006 from the Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo in Buenos Aires, he completed his thesis at the architecture school of Arizona State university in the United States. Back in Buenos Aires, he founded the NormalTM architecture and concept office. For the Gallery S. Bensimon, he is working on his “Tender” project, NormalTM’s first spatial research project, inspired by the concept of "ready made". The idea is to identify something ordinary, like a washing peg, and multiple it in an enclosed space, so that through its own mass it creates a new surface, changing its own original image. After its first installation, “Tender” also grew into a specific design system, producing a large number of configurations and products such as lamps and modular mobile systems.
Tender division is a highly decorative piece of furniture, adapting Martin Huberman’s artistic work into an everyday object. However, it retains the power to transform the space and its perspectives. It is mischievous, letting everyone have the pleasure of leaving more or less transparency and colour, it becomes an element of communication and interaction.
